A Personal Note
Over the past several years, I have been writing, not at first realizing it was becoming a book, but simply trying to make sense of my life, my faith, my work, and the questions that kept finding me.
Again and again, I returned to one truth: becoming the person we're meant to be is never finished. There is no final draft of ourselves. The work of understanding and honoring our dignity is not something we accomplish and move on from. It is the work that remains.
These essays draw from public health, mental health, leadership, family, faith, and the ordinary moments that have shaped who I am becoming. Howard Thurman has been a trusted companion along the way, reminding me that the inward journey is the foundation for the work we do in the world.
I don't offer these because I have arrived, but because I am still becoming. My hope is that you'll recognize your own story in these pages and discover that the work before you is not a burden, but an invitation.
Thank you for being here. Enter your email below and I'll share occasional reflections, plus news as soon as the book is available.
With gratitude,
